Le « say on pay » et ses effets sur la rémunération des dirigeants

Following the publication of the updated French Corporate Governance Code (AFEP-Medef), French shareholders will from now on have an annual advisory vote on the remuneration elements (fixed, variable annual and multi-annual, pensions, stock options or performance shares) due or awarded for each executive officer for the year ended.

From what we can observe in countries where “Say On Pay” has been implemented for several years now, the journalist notes that this governance practice has not help in lowering the remuneration of executive officers.
