“It is difficult to compare the yearly salary to the yearly results, without taking into consideration the environment: a company could have lost value during the year, but less than other industry or market peers.” Borja Miranda, Sodali’s Director for Spain, has been asked to provide his opinion on the reportage Board’s remuneration and results of big Spanish companies in 2014, for the regional newspapers of Vocento. “In any case, the board remuneration system should foster long-term loyalty to the company, be consistent with the remuneration level on the same sector and be related to actual performances of directors”.
